Everything has beauty

Today a card with a background made with distress stains and salt. I sprayed my cardstock with water. I randomly added 3 colours of distress stains and some salt grains. I let it dry, wiped off the salt and stamped it. These are the Stampotique stamps I used: Whiskermonster with sign, Beauty verse, Hanging hearts and Tangled. I finished of with some flowers.

Have fun stamping!

Abstract foliage by Jo Capper-Sandon

We all seem to be using green. Spring must have sprung! Recently my niece had a birthday and I made her a Stampotique card (here). A few days later my nephew had a birthday so I made him a Stampotique card too! For some reason I just thought of using a little monster ....!!

Thanks for looking! Kate

13th Birthday Card

Yesterday it was my niece's 13th birthday. Where have the years gone. Her favourite colours at the moment are blues and teals so I used them on her card.

I used ~{Alice}~ and ~{Chessy}~ and coloured them with Copics. I then stamped ~{Happy Birthday}~ onto shrink plastic and shrunk it down to fit on the card.

Shouting out a Happy Bird-Day!

Yeah!  I'm getting ready to fly my coop soon and take a few days off to spend with some girlfriends.  It's been awhile that I've had a girls weekend, so am looking forward to getting some crafting done and get in lots of laughs.  I can't pack fast enough!

I didn't get a chance last week to get my card posted for the Stampotique Designer's Challenge.

Nellie is our hostess this challenge and she thought it would be fun to give you a color challenge this time.

Here is what she said about her challenge:

"And of course I picked a color combination that I really love to work with: pink, purple and black. It’s as simple as that! So go get your Stampotique stamps out and have fun with this challenge. As always you can win a $30 dollar gift certificate for your choice of Stampotique stamps."

I created my background by first stamping my ink onto a clear block and directly onto my paper.  After I got the effect I was working on, I stamped some bubble wrap onto my black ink pad and then to my paper.  My image is a new one from the Stampotique designer- Kira Nichols- Shouting Bird.

It was colored with my copic markers and I added this sentiment I thought would go well with the bird.

Hope you will join us at Stampotique Designer's Challengewith your Pink, Purple & Black creation using your Stampotique stamps.

Alice in Wonderland

I just love the interpretation of Alice in Wonderland designed by Janet Klein in the new Stampotique febuary 2012 release! For this card I stamped and colored the mushrooms en de catepillar with distressink. I colored Alice with my Tombow markers. The words are a few lines of the wonderful World all her own stamp.
