Coby's Saturday

For today I wanted to use a great new quote:

I choose a background, took a piece of paper that's
corresponding with the background.
Stamped with Versamark en black embossingpowder,
used my scissor to cut the butterfly and the flower.
Stamped some flowers on the background and
used washitape to compete this page:

Are you a fan of Winnie the Pooh?

I am!  So when I wanted a cloud quote, I added 'A A Milne' to my google search.  The cloud quote was fine, but this one, with Pooh speaking to Rabbit, really made me smile.

There are more details and a link to the 'cloud' story over on my blog.  Now I think I'm going to find my Winnie the Pooh books ....

Pink, Turquoise and Polka Dots - Wednesday's With Claudine

Good day to you all, thanks for coming by for another Wednesday with me

I have been a busy bee lately trying to teach and juggle life in general, too much to do and not enough time!!

For this week's design team challenge over at the Design Team Challenge Blog,  Samantha Read
is our wonderful host and she has challenged us to do some Pink, Turquoise and Polka Dots
What a fun challenge, I love everything about it!

I have been working on a set of altered playing cards lately and I wanted to do one for this challenge so I got to work and created this piece -

For this card I used the stampotique stamp called Two Sticks by artists Daniel Torrente and Jill Penney
This is a small stamp but it sure does make a big impact, it's one of my favorites. I got the quote from Pinterest and it's become one of my favorite quotes ever, it's SO true.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you will enter our challenge this week

hello baby girl!

Considering how CAS this card is, it used a lot of different stamp images!!   I'm not a big card maker, mainly because I have to keep my hands clean - that's one of the reason's one of Roc's birds is sitting on the bunting!!

Gelli print that will leave you in stitches

I love the randomness of using unplanned components in a composition.  It's like the friend we all had in elementary school with the mismatched socks and plaid with dots.  Take a chance.

In this composition I began with a gelli print that I had pleated and stitched.  It became a fun background to add Stampotique images hung out to dry and create.

Yesterday was Victoria Day in Canada and
Halifax was graced with a visit from Charles and Camilla!

and inspired this new phone case!

love struck

I've been playing with Kira's fabulous 'smitten moustache monsters' in my A5 journal.  They are such a lot of fun :)  I don't know how I've resisted colouring them in, they are just shouting out for it ... but not on this page, today I wanted the black and white contrast.

There's more information on how I made my journal page over on my blog, The Art of Moodling, thanks for visiting!

Astrid on Sunday

Sunday again, so my turn :-) This week I made a tag.
I've cut two tags with a Tim Holtz Die and from one tag I just cut a part of for the hanger. I colored both pieces with Dylusions. Finally I have used my new Slate Grey and combined it with some Calypso Teal. I stamped the cool Ledger stamp with some Black Archival and splattered with some black acrylics on the tag. Miguel was stamped on the tag and another piece of paper and colored with Distress Markers. The Barcode and the Barcode Text I stamped with a stamp positioner. The ribbon was also colored with Calypso Teal.
Not my usual colorful explosion, but I really like this tag and I hop you too :-)

Coby's Saturday

A new month, a new calender page  of my
Birthday calender.

For the background I used Dylusions Inkspray for the
first layer. Gesso for the second, white paint dipping
with a baby-towel is the third layer.
Than stamping with withe paint and Pink Ink
and the lat layer stamping with black.

The flower girl I stamped on a piece of
the first layer.

I'm asking myself:
are there others who also are making a calender?
Pleas leave your link at the comments, I really
want to see them!
