Tuesday with Val and a Shaped Card

Today I would like to share 3 techniques!

  1. Shaped card: First, I stamped the chair on polka dot paper and pasted it to my card front.  I then cut through all layers (chair, card front, and card back) to create a shaped card.
  2. Paper piecing: Next, I stamped the chair on a baroque paper, cut out the arm covers and chair skirt and pasted them over the polka dot paper.
  3. Altered stamp: Finally, I inked the edges and face of the spotted monster (avoiding the dots in the centre) and drew in little hearts instead of spots just for Valentine's Day!

Thanks so much for dropping by!
Val :)

Fleur de Girls

I'm going retro with the story behind my first collection of rubber images for Stampotique.  These paper-pieced ATC's feature the original, Fleur de Girl, Daff, Fleur Belle, Fleur de Girl No.3,  and Waltzing Fleur.
You can find the story behind the blooming of these garden girls on my website, veralanestudio.com.

Thanks for stopping by.  See you next week!
