Alice board

I recently made a chipboard kit up and while making it, I realised the Alice stamps by Janet Klein would be perfect for it.

I used ~{Alice}~, ~{Chessy}~, ~{Rabbit}~, ~{Mad Hatter}~, and ~{Catepillar}~. They are standing on painted air dried clay.

Feathered Friends Postcard

I made this postcard for a swap entitled feathered friends and, rather than go for a bird, I thought I'd put the wings from ~{Angel Boy}~ onto ~{Karin}~ and stand her on a base made from ~{Mesh}~ with some ~{Daisy Daisy}~ flowers. It involved rather a lot of masking and lining up of stamps. And, of course, that meant there was rather a lot of swearing and calling myself a few names!

But I got it there in the end and finished off with adding Tumbled Glass DI, washi tape and doodling. Kaz xxx

May Guest Designers: Carol Quance

Hiya, my name is Carol.  I seem to have followed the path of many other people. I’ve  always loved making things – clothes for my trolls as a kid, knitting (Kaffe Fasset and Patricia Roberts) x-stitched, hardanger.  A friend then introduced me to rubber stamps about 15 years ago and I thought it  was very “twee” (guess that means very quaint/cute) but I got hooked lol. Things have  improved a lot since then as the stamping scene and my skills have developed.  I dabble with stitching and fabric too these days and love combining both in my projects. I also love fantasy Sci-Fi and music and thanks to my son my latest love is drum and bass music!

Carol has been a long time player of our Stampotique Designer's Challenges and we love her funky style. You can visit Carol over at her blog Alcoholinky.

She shares with us today one of her creations, Play with Abandon.

~{Scalloped Lace Border}~,

Stampotiques' "Chessy" and "The Tweedles"

Doesnt the name "The Tweedles" just make you laugh? :)  Going along with the current challenge to "doodle" on your creation I decided I NEEDED to make a few more cards.  I used two images from artist Janet Klein.  First of course is the "Tweedles" colored with copics, cut out and put on black cs.  Yep, the white is me going on and  on with my doodle dots :) .  I also used  "the simplest things give me ideas" #9083 quote for the top.
Next I colored "Chessy" #9229 and popped him up on black cs over a tag I stenciled , sprayed and sewed a bit.   My hub was telling me this cat needs a toothpick hanging from his mouth! :)  lol    I used the sentiment "good things good thoughts" #9012 also from Stampotique!   TFL!   jane

April Guest Designer

It's the first of the month and with that we have a new guest designer this month.  You may recognize her work as she's a frequent player in our challenges and she has got some of the cutest little ATC's I've ever seen.

Stampotique welcomes Fiona Shultz this month as our guest designer.  Here's a little bit about Fiona:

Hello, my name is Fiona and I am a craft addict from way back – as a young girl it was knitting and crochet, as a young adult it was tapestry and cross stitch.  Some 15 years ago I began dabbling in card making and stamping.  In that 15 years, I have also had a go at patchwork, quilting, sewing, and scrapbooking to name a few.  About 2 years ago my love of stamping was reignited, along with it a greater love of card making and the discovery of ATC’s.  This, along with knitting and crochet, fills most of my ‘spare’ time.

You can drop by and say "hi" to Fiona over at her blog, Made by Fee.

Everything has beauty

Today a card with a background made with distress stains and salt. I sprayed my cardstock with water. I randomly added 3 colours of distress stains and some salt grains. I let it dry, wiped off the salt and stamped it. These are the Stampotique stamps I used: Whiskermonster with sign, Beauty verse, Hanging hearts and Tangled. I finished of with some flowers.

Have fun stamping!
Nellie
