Gold card

I promised myself I'd do more Less is More challenges once Stampotique finished sponsoring them so this is the first one to start!!

I used ~{Carol's Flower}~ with gold embossing powder and cut it out, adding a bit of colour with a Copic that matched the button. There's a little bit of gold in the cord which was the best I could do and used ~{Happy Birthday}~ for the greeting.

Unique Flowers

Gay is sharing her first creation with us today as a guest designer.  I will tell you when I first saw this creation, I was in love and gave myself a good smack on the forehead...I mean, why didn't I think of that???

"I used the Stampotique Spider wings and the Birds and Bugs cube, which I stamped with black ink and coloured with Copics and Dylusion inks. I hand drew the stalks and pollen. Inside the card reads, 'Just like you'. I thought the wings made quite interesting flowers and lots more interesting variations are running through my head, so I'm very glad I have these stamps. They are going to be very versatile"

We have had such an exciting month over here in the UK. We started with the official celebrations for the Queen's Jubilee, followed by the Olympic Torch making it's way around the country, so we are all in the mood for celebrating :-)

As part of my monthly art calendar I decided to turn Marci into the Queen (I'm sure Her Royal Highness would be very happy about that!) Marci was one of my first ever Stampotique stamps and I have to say she is also one of my faves. I think she looks great as royalty, don't you?!

SDC57: Outside the Box & Some Announcements

First off we want to start with a few announcements.  We currently have aDESIGN TEAM CALL going on-for more information read the details on this post.

This week our hostess Val has challenged us to think outside the box.  Create something out of the normal for you and show us what you have come up with.

Remember, only one entry per person to be eligible for the $30 Stampotique gift certificate and use your Stampotique stamps.

Stampotique Design Team Call!

Stampotique has not had a design team all in awhile, and we know a lot of you have been asking-so here is your opportunity! We are looking for creative, inspiring, and friendly stampers to help promote Stampotique rubber stamps.

Our call is open to everyone and Stampotique stamps are not required to be used in your submission, but of course we would LOVE to see your use of our stamps.

This call will only be opened for 2 weeks from Saturday, June 23 and closing on Saturday, July 7th. The design term will be August 2012-December 2012.

If you are interested, please read all the information below on what Stampotique is looking for in a designer.

What we are looking for in our Designers:
Love of Stampotique rubber stamps
Ability to work with different challenges
Creative ability to think outside of the box 
Willingness to share your creations on your blog and public galleries

Design Team Requirements:
Commitment to design for 4 months (August 2012 - December 2012)
4 projects per month to be posted on your personal blog and public galleries 
(2 projects are challenges & 2 are anything you wish to create)
Participate in blog hops and sponsored promotions as needed
Post to Stampotique Designers Blog at least once a month (blogger format)
Ability to take good, quality photos of your creations
Must have an active personal blog and be able to promote Stampotique whenever possible
Commenting on challenge participants for our bi-monthly challenges 

Benefits of the Design Team Members:
Stampotique stamps to create with (you will get to choose which ones you would like to work with)
Name and a Link to your blog will be displayed on our blogs
Display the Stampotique Design Team badge on your blog
An opportunity to work with unique and fun stamps
A fun, friendly and diverse design team
Discount of 25% to anything on the Stampotique website

It's up to me this week to host Crazy amigo's. Although the weather isn't at all like it's almost summer here I chose summer colors (red, orange, yellow) as this week's theme. I made this card with distressinks and these Stampotique stamps: Living is not enough, Gog lin,Gobby lin, Daisy daisy, Dream definition and Dream in color.

The world awaits a "pretty party dress" grad card

Recently I had a request from a wonderful friend to make a grad card for a young girl.  It seems she is very smart=  graduating with a degrees in finance and science.  She is also a very accomplished swimmer.  I pulled out one of my very favorite Stampotique stamps: "pretty party dress #9216".  I paper pieced this dress again (love doing that on this image) with print on thin dp.  The print I just custom made on word .  I punched out heart shaped balloons and a cloud with congrats printed on it.  Dp backing is MME: tickled pink.  Hope she likes it since I always consider it to be a real challenge when someone asks me to make something special .  :) TFL  jane

Welcome Our June Guest Designer- Claire Boelema

As we say goodbye and thank you to our wonderful guest designer for May-Carol Quance, we bring in our newest guest designer for June.  Help us in welcoming the talented Claire Boelema.

Hi. I’m Claire Boelema aka Happy Days (a long story, but basically there are way too many Claire’s out there in Blogland). I live in a small coastal town in the UK with my ever tolerant hubby and two kids.

I’ve been playing with inks, paints and pieces of paper for approximately two years now and as a result I’m enjoying a second childhood! I don’t have a set “style”. I simply get up in the mornings and go wherever my mood takes me or whatever inspires me. So my work can vary hugely from day to day or even hour by hour! The only common theme that runs through my projects is that I love to use assorted techniques and add lots of detail, so be warned there’s normally a fair bit of “faffing” and the odd bit of fancy cutting!

Preparing to guest design for Stampotique this month has been a bit like taking a rollercoaster ride!! You know the feeling, excited but terrified all at once! However, I’ve had a blast and the final part of the ride will be showing you all my creations which I hope you’ll like!!!
