Merry Kiss-mas by Joanne Wardle

Every year I do a couple of designs for cards that I will be able to batch make (usually in late november). I think this is this year's first design. It's quick, uses minimal materials that are easily replaced, and is perfect for batch making.

The Stamps are all from Jo Capper-Sandon's range at stampotique, stamped in brown versafine on kraft card, and coloured with coloursoft pencils. the berries are highlighted with Glossy Accents, and the knotted ribbon is glued on.

Hanging Heart by Joanne Wardle

I made this card for a challenge with the theme "dangly things". In this card I have dangled Jo Capper-Sandons heart from hearts cubed from Tree.

I've used a stamp positioner (actually lego corner and clear packaging) to position the heart accurately on the tree, and coloured with pencils on Kraft card.

playing with pointillism

If you've seen this month's Craft Stamper magazine, you may, like me, have fallen in love with Kim Cosstello's Pointillism article. I have made this card using Jasmin and Daisy Daisy from Jo Capper-Sandon's Range. I don't own Copics so this was made using Whispers markers. I've a long way to go before I master this technique, but I'm enjoying playing!

Purrr-fect couple

Don't they make a cute couple together :-) A simple card with these Stampotique stamps: Stitch, Puss puss, Hearts cubed and Floral flutter. Colored with my Tombow markers again. I hardly use anything else to color my Stampotique images these days. Such a nice bright colors and great blending.

More one layer cards...

The theme at LIM is to make a one layer card using "something with legs" ! Wow that's a big theme... so many things with legs.... where to start...
Then I decided to use one of the stampotique girls that always have the most fabulous legs.
now honestly this card started out Clean and Simple, but somewhere along the way it turned a bit grungy, and I actually for once think it's better for it.

I'm actually glad to show that One Layer doesn't have to mean Clean and Simple.

However I also want to keep the Limmettes happy, so I've used another stampotique stamp (with legs..... well feet at least) to make a CAS card too. This one is really CAS, just stamped and coloured, but I've also added a bit of depth by dry embossing a frame to make the image stand out.

Book of Life page..

There are lots of Stampotique Originals stamps that are just perfect for art journaling. I used the Queen Of Life as my focal point and wondered what might be written on the pages of her book that she is carrying.

Here is my page..

Stamps used: Queen Of Life and Swirl Stalks

The background was created using spray inks and water colour crayons. The words are computer generated.

Thank you for calling and leaving a comment if you get the chance. Have a great weekend. Gez

Dangly Star by Joanne Wardle

This card is made using stamps from Stampotique originals: the ubiquitous Moon Girl and the oh so useful Great moon. I have made Great Moon's star dangle in an aperture using wire, and so this card is for the "dangly things" challenge, currently running at Happy Daze.

Introducing our July Guest Designer...

Hi I'm Net and I'm thrilled to be this months guest DT at Stampotique!  I live in Yorkshire, England with my lovely OM, son, two cats and the caiques.  These are the naughty parrots who often feature on my blog Caique-Momma.

I've always loved making things and got introduced to cardmaking many years ago and was instantly hooked!  Stamping was my first love and still is even though I've dallied with die cutting along the way.  Stamping allows me to indulge myself in colouring.  Copics are my weapon of choice at the moment.

Through crfating I've met many many wonderful and talented people, I'm now lucky enough to call them my very dear friends.  Crafting makes me a very lucky girl.

Stop on over at Net's blog, we'll be sharing her work throughout the month here on the blog.

July already?!

Smushasha and Smushallaum by Daniel Torrente

Well, another month has flown by. How did it get to July already?! As it is now officially summer (UK) I get to thinking about holidays, and then I start thinking about the ocean, which then makes me think of mermaids. And I Just LOVE LOVE LOVE these ghoulish mermaids by Daniel Torrente. In my head this is exactly how mermaids look! I coloured these with Prismacolors and gave them a lovely greenish tint to their skin :-)

So, now I have another month ready to go, for a bit of daily journaling.

Thanks for looking, Kate
