Coby's Saturday

This week I was thinking about what to do for today.
I didn't want Halloween, Autumn.....

I started with making a background paper, Yellow
and Orange ink, stamping circles and stripes on it.
Then text and circles by Stampotique.

Ok, background ready.........

Project Life! I'll make a page in my PL Album!
Love to do that, Pl is so much fun especially
when you make your own backgrounds.

I hope you like it too:

Early Halloween

I was in a gift shop in Ann Arbor a while back  and burst out laughing over this quote, "I love your stupid face."

Carol's SDC 166 is calling to "get your spook on" with an early Halloween entry.   I had to link this funny quote to my little Corie  and Frankie images.

Husband's Halloween card made. Check.

Happy Wednesday all, I'm so happy to be here to show you my project for the new challenge

The theme is Halloween this time and our wonderful Carol has chosen this one. All of us here at Stampotique love Halloween.

In fact our Facebook group is having an ATC Halloween swap for October, won't you come by and join us?

For my project this week, I created the ATC and also a coordination card for the Facebook swap

I used Stampotique Stamps:

Hazel Jester and Clothes Text - By artist Linda Peterson

Halloween Cube - By Artist Daniel Torrente

Here is the ATC I created, I printed out the saying from the computer

and here is the ATC with the coordinating card

This was fun and I just love how Hazel is so proud in her Jester costume!

Thanks for coming by the Designer's Blog today, make sure to check back everyday for a new inspiring project by one of the designers.

Coby's Saturday

Today is Party-time. My favorite Craft store
in the Netherlands, de Craftorij,  is four years old. I bought there
my first Stampotique stamp and later on a lot more :-).
I learned there techniques and got so many friends
over there. It's a great place to be and that's why I made
a birthday card today'

The background is made by strokes aquarel paper
using the sewing machine to put them together.
With Versamark and Black embossingpowder I stamped
3 stamps and colored them with aquarel paint.

Hope you like it.

Stampotique Sunflowers

Really enjoyed making this little postcard :)  After using a stencil with spray inks I added colour with ink on a sponge and some background stamping.

The flowers were stamped in grey and added to the postcard (I just love that black and white contrast with colour!) before finishing it off with a suitable quote.

Wednesday's With Claudine - SDC 165

Hello all, welcome to another new challenge over at Stampotique Designer's Challenge Blog.
Our hostess for this challenge is Samantha and she is challenging us to use only one stamp.
This one will be difficult, all the Stampotique stamps are so cool and it's tough to only use one

For this challenge I went small and decided to make an ATC. The perfect size for one stamp.

I used Stampotique Stamp

Whisker Monster with Sign - By artist Kira Nichols

I made my background using Tim Holtz distress paints adding a few stencils and paint marks and a bit of wash tape

This monster is one of my favorites because I can write whatever I want to write inside his sign. I just love him

Thanks for coming by and enjoy your day
Cheers!

Another sleepless night

Kira Nichol's "sick kitty" is floating on a soft textured background while having another sleepless night.

I had a lot of fun making kitty's "bed" with paper piecing.

Hope it makes you smile.

SDC 164 - Birds or Animals - Wednesday's With Claudine

Hello all and welcome back to the blog. Today starts a new challenge over at Stampotique's Designers Challenge Blog

Our lovely hostess is the wonderful Sue Davies and she is asking us to make something With Animals or Birds.

I decided that I wanted to make a card for my parents anniversary. Their anniversary isn't until New Years Eve but I figured I'd work on it early.

Birds have always been the theme for their anniversaries and my Dad has this tradition of giving my mom a set of two birds every year. Usually they are little sculptures or ceramic figures but she has one for every year they have been married. I think it's such a sweet tradition.

I just recently got this stamp and as soon as I saw it It reminded me of my parents.

I used Stampotique Stamps

Treemates - by Artist Kylie DiOrio
Kylie has some wonderful bird stamps and I just love them all

Two Hearts..One Love - By Carol's Collection
Carol has some really awesome sayings in her stamp collection

Here is my card

I hope my parents like the card, I think this stamp is just so sweet.
Have a wonderful day everyone

Tuesday with Val and a Sign of the Seasons

Happy Tuesday!
Do the leaves change colour in the fall where you are?
We have brilliant fall colour here on the east coast in Nova Scotia, Canada!
The leaves have just barely started to change
but it won't be long now before the forest is ablaze
with shocks of reds, oranges and yellows!
The Stampotique Leaf stamp is one of my favourites
and is perfect for this season!
Thanks for dropping by!

Sarah's art journaled tag

...and mine is definitely amongst my paints, papers and rubber stamps!

This tag started off with a sponge ink base that I didn't like so I tore it off, and decided I quite liked the effect.  I'm going to add it as a page in one of my small A6 journals.  It nearly looked like this

... but in the end, decided to include Gucio.  Sometimes it's so hard to know!

Have a little fun

That's just what Kaz had in mind.  Kaz is hostess this week over at the Stampotique Designer's Challenge (SDC163).  We are taking older stamps and giving them a refresher!

Large Fleurfly is from my first collection with Stampotique. I give her new life with a funky background ready to mail out with the message, "Have a little fun."

Refresh It - SDC163 Wednesday's with Claudine

Wow, it's already September!! Time is flying this year

It's time for another Challenge over at the Stampotique Designer's Challenge Blog and
this week our hostess is Kaz over at Slightly Wonky Crafts and she has a wonderful challenge for us. She is asking us to "Refresh It" Use one of those older stamps that you haven't used in awhile and give it a new lease on life.

How fun! I have so many stamps that I just love but one of my very first stamps I ever bought from Stampotique was

Prom Queen - By Artist Daniel Torrente and Jill Penney

I also used another stamp that was one of my first buys

Whatever - By Carol's Collection

I decided the make a tag for this challenge

I just love bright colors and I love how vivid the background has come out on this one. I did some sewing around the edges and over the wash tape and "Whatever" word.

Thanks for coming by, I'll see you next week!!

Tuesday with Val and a Greeting

Happy Tuesday!
Today I'd like to share a cheerful little greeting card.
I drew inspiration for the coloring from the colors in the background paper and the fun sentiment (cut out from designer paper).  It was great fun playing with my Copics and getting a bit inky!!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
