Coby's Saturday

Party in the Netherlands, the whole country
is orange because our King Willem Alexander
is celebrating his birthday. 47 Years.
And Party it is, in every town, every village there are
a lots of things to do.
Little children are selling what they don't need
anymore, other children are buying that stuff.
Music, balloons in the air, all kinds
of challenges and almost very one is wearing
something orange.

That's why I create this Art Journal page
to congratulate our King:

a little Friday tag by Sarah

I really enjoyed playing with one of Roc's new images this week, the very appropriately named 'dog'!!  Roc's images are great for stamping onto pre-painted paper as they are such 'open' images.  I've just bought a couple of new ones!!!

You can head on over to my blog if you'd like to see some more images and find out how I made the tag.  Thanks so much for visiting,

playing in my journal, by Sarah

I hope you've enjoyed the Stampotique blog hop; it's still open for another few days if you've not had chance to join in yet.  I've continued to enjoy playing with the new stamps and this time decided to make a journal page.

One of France's new stamps says

so I decided to use this as a challenge for a page.  I've put some details on my bloghttp://sarahanderson1.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/a-touch-of-art-journaling.html as to where I feel I was working outside my comfort zone, and would love to hear how you'd move out of yours

I wasn't sure about this page at first but it's growing on me ;)

Enjoy the little things

Wow.  What a fun week are having at Stampotique showing off our new collections.  Here is a new image that you will adore called Agatha's star.

Ever since I was a little girl I just love collecting small containers. Little tins and boxes are just perfect for storing tiny little treasures.  I repurposed an Altoid tin featuring Magda Polakow's Agatha's star.  I am using this as a travel tin for my watercolors.

April Showers - Wednesday's With Claudine

Welcome back to another Wednesday and a new challenge over at the Stampotique Designer's Challenge Blog

This week our lovely Carol Fox has chosen "April Showers" as our theme
I am SO ready for some Spring and April Showers here in Colorado. It's been such a cold a long drawn out winter so I think this is a wonderful challenge and it couldn't come at a better time

I thought that I would use one of our new release stamps for this challenge so I am using:

Agatha Star - By Artist Magda Polakow

I am thrilled about Magda's new stamps and I just love them all

I used a gelli plate print for the background on this card, I thought it sort of looked like rain coming down and I just love the colors

Thanks again for coming by and as always, thanks so much for your support!!
Have a happy day!
As always, you can see more on this card at my blog: claudinesartcorner.blogspot.com

Hope you like it!

an art journaled tag

I had a bit of a play with my versamark inkpad this week.  I used it to create a different effect with my inky background, stampeding  'sometimes I pretend to be normal ...' repeatedly.  I heat set it then added dylusions inks.

Some splashing of water, and extra stamping and I was happy with my background for the artichoke monster.  I used an old map for my background journal page!

Thanks for looking, Sarah :)

Tuesday with Val and a Happpy Card

Hi everyone!
Today's project features the fun letters of the Altered Hello stamp.  Bright background papers and an oversized flower seemed to complement this stamp perfectly.  I used my Silhouette Cameo to create the card pieces and fabulous flower from the infamous scrap pile :)

it's monday

it's that time once again, monday, so here i am, roc,  posting my creation for the day.  i've made an altered envelope, so once more,  i think i'll do a give away.  details will be on my blog.
to make the envelope i used quite a number of my rubber stamps.  they are:  squiggle arms, horse, flying heart, and for the top border i used the tail feathers of my rubber stamp flying bird.  i really enjoy using pieces of my rubber stamps to create new designs.  that is one reason i design them without too much frill - so they are easy to cut apart and piece.  i hope you find creative things to do with my rubber stamps.

Hearts don't have to be red

Spring time colors, layers of paint and ink make up this funky tag.

My "Love you heart" stamp from Stampotique lends itself to this loose layered style.

Hearts don't have to be red, nor are they limited to Valentine's Day.  This heart is perfect for everyday stamping, used alone or in a repeat pattern.

Hope it inspires you today.

Hi everyone,
In a continuing effort to use up my scrap pile,
I took my new Envelope Punch Board and Baby Cthulhu out for a test drive!
I can see that making envelopes from my scraps is going to be a new obsession!
What projects are you doing to use up your (well-orgainzed!!) scraps?
Thanks so much for dropping by,
