Skellie lost her wings

Poor Blessed Skellie they just wouldn't fit, but I don't think she's too bothered!

This is a chipboard arch that I've decorated and then added the following new stamps:

~{Blessed Skellie}~ minus the wings
~{Quizer}~ and
~{Mervynboy}~. These were all coloured with Copics and I've added some more flowers cut from Skellie's head on top of the arches.

Teenage Attitude!

Kamona by Daniel Torrente
Abstract Foliage by Jo Capper-Sandon
Sentiment by Carol's Collection

It is soon to be my niece's thirteenth birthday so I wanted to make a card that captured the essence of teenage attitude, and Kamona fit the bill perfectly! Alongside the sentiment (which makes me LOL every time!) I think this fits the bill perfectly for a teenage card.

Thanks for looking!

Kamona nameplate

I've made this as a door nameplate, but it could be put on a wall or shelf - it's for my niece who wears shorts over leggings or tights, so she is just perfect!

The background is acrylic paints and I've used ~{Hutching's}~ randomly. The main image is ~{Kamona}~ and has been coloured with Copics. The letters are from ~{Random Acts Alphabet}~.

Blue by Joanne Wardle

I love colouring with pencils. Usually I colour onto Kraft card, but I wanted to show how it works just as well on any coloured card.

I also used another technique I love: Making tatty paper flowers which I also inked with stormy sky, and added just a hint of stickles

I stamped Jasmin in a dark blue ink and coloured with pencils, I inked around the edges of the card with Stormy Sky andd also stamped with abstract foliage with the same ink.

Presently she teaches rubber stamping and journaling classes.  A self- taught artist, Roc loves rubber stamping, collage, mixed media, journaling and doodling.  Her favs are all things whimsical, unusual and things that make her laugh!  She has an online international artist trading site which she runs, along with her blog and her facebook page. Stampotique Sponsors Pile-it-On Challenge

Today Stampotique is sponsoring the Pile it On Challenge.  The theory behind Pile It On! is to create cards, scrapbook pages or even altered items using MORE THAN ONE challenge! They have found it to be a challenge to see how many challenges they could get into one project.

Here is the concept:
Each Sunday they give a new challenge. Incorporate our challenge with at least one other CURRENT challenge (at the time of posting) AND mention Pile It On! to "qualify" to be one of our Three Top Scoops or should there be a prize offered that week.  They have several challenges listed on their site.

Our designers created a few cards to share using some newly released stamps and the current Pile It On Challenge which is Heartfelt Thanks.

new stamps used: Catepillar 9234 and Mad Hatter 9233

We would love to have you join us for a chance to win a $30 gift certificate for stamps at Pile It On Challenge and if you want a second chance to win, play along with us at our Stampotique Designer Challenge this week.

SDC48: CASE a Stampotique Designer

Today we are trying a little bit different challenge here at Stampotique Designer's Challenge.

This week Kim is challenging you to CASE one of the Stampotique Designer's.  What is a CASE?  Copy and Steal Everything.  Pick out a favorite from any of the Stampotique Designer's blogs or here on this blog and make sure you link to the one you are copying so we can see.  We understand you may not have ALL of the stamps, but try to do your best to re-create with what you have.

Our guest designer this month has created this super cute card.  Here is what Dina was inspired by:

I love Kate Crane's colorful backgrounds. I was inspired by her when I made this card.

Join us over at Stampotique Designer's Challenge with your CASE.

It's calendar time!

Sweet moves by Daniel Torrente
Abstract Foliage by Jo Capper-Sandon

It's a new month and that can only mean one thing ... it's calendar time! I'm loving Abstract Foliage at the moment - it makes a fabulous border. Here I stamped it all the way around the edge of my double page spread. I thought Sweetmoves would look just great balancing a heart on the tip of her fingers - perfect for the month of love!

Thanks for looking!

Speaking of Dina Wakley....

Jane here and I was so excited to learn Dina Wakley is our guest!  Since the sun was shinning yesterday I wanted to use some yellow!  I had just followed up on a tutorial from Dina on how to get your creative juices flowing and made this card using "strut your stuff" # 2069 and "wish" # 3048 (from Stampotique store).  The tag was one I made after watching her tutorial..inks on a craft mat and then a little paint!  What a fun technique for getting your creative self going!  Not to mention the great tags you can make and save for later! :0  TFL!

Introducing Our February Guest Designer- Dina Wakley

We have some exciting guest designers lined up for 2012 and without further delay, introducing our February Guest Designer, Dina Wakley.

I am Dina Wakley and I live in Glendale, AZ with my hubby and 3 fellas. I love everything about art...making it, learning about it, teaching it. A fun tidbit...many years ago, I heard about this strange craft called "stamping," and I found a local store and wandered in. That store happened to be Stampotique (back when Carol had a retail location). I stood in the store and I must have looked overwhelmed, because the amazing and kind owner, Carol, asked me if I wanted to take a beginner's class. I said yes, and I signed up right then. I remember it cost $10.  And that, my friends, is the beginning of it all! I had been scrapbooking for a couple of years, but stamping was a whole new ball game. Stamping led to art journaling and mixed media....and to where I am today. I had little disposable income but I was seriously addicted to Carol's store, so I sold old CDs and books at used bookstores and then high-tailed it over to the store to spend my cash. I think I went to the store two to three times a week. Finally Carol said to me, "I think we're becoming friends..." hee hee. I adore Jim & Carol and love all things Stampotique!

You can visit me on my website: http://dinawakley.com
