Monochrome Papillon

Morning peeps... tis Hels here showing you a card I made using that divine new Large Papillon Stamp from Jo Caapper-Sandon's latest designs. I love to make easel cards and this big stamp is just perfect to make a statement embellishment for a card.

The papers are my all time favourite and I think they make the butterfly look even more gorgeous... I layered up different designs in the papers and then cut an oval mat for the butterfly to rest on. I used Distress Inks to smudge all around the edges of the papers and mats and then stamped the Grass over one side of the oval. The butterfly was stamped onto paper that I had given a paintwash to... so you can still see a bit of the pattern but it doesn't outshine the butterfly.

The sentiment is one of my favourites too... I love the words on this one and they are so true! To finish off the card, I added a few little gemstones and distressed the edges of the papers to match with the butterfly's shabby look. These are the stamps I used for my card:

Large Papillon 3047
Grass 3004
A Friends Touch 8921

All of the stamps are available from Stampotique Originals. Thanks for looking....TTFN
