waxing lyrical

I'm loving the blog makeover, what do you think?

I mentioned last week that my sewing machine had been calling me, but I have to say that wax and teabags were shouting pretty loudly too!  So I gave in ;)  There's a different tag over on my blog, complete with some detail on how I made the tags.  This one's my favourite though.

I opened up the teabag and stamped 'journey collage' on one side using an archival blank ink, then treated the other side just like a page in my art journal!  I sprayed some Dylusions ink on the teabag then stenciled on some white paint through a harlequin stencil.  The heart was stitched on after waxing the teabag, and the word 'love' added afterwards too.

ps the Stampotique Originals website's had a makeover too, definitely worth a look!

That sounds like fun. I've got a big box of teabags on my shelf that I don't like. Time for them to be re-purposed. Need to figure out how to incorporate acetate... ;)
